Sammy Ofer Stadium
Sammy Ofer Stadium is a football stadium located in the southern slopes of Haifa, in the Neot Peres neighborhood, near Matam Park.
It has a seating capacity of 30,942. The stadium, completed in 2014, serves as the home ground for Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Haifa football clubs. In addition to hosting matches for Haifa’s local teams, the stadium occasionally hosts international matches for the Israel national football team and important games such as the semi-finals and finals of the State Cup. The stadium is named after the Israeli businessman Sammy Ofer, who funded about 15% of its construction costs in partnership with the Haifa for Israel Foundation.
Designed by the British architectural firm KSS Group in collaboration with the Israeli architects Mansfeld-Kehat, the stadium was planned to meet European football standards, accommodate performances, and provide logistical support to commercial areas located on the western front of the stadium.
The Haifa for Israel Foundation has been accompanying Sammy Ofer Stadium since its inception.
