Baruch and Ruth Rapoport Foundation
Baruch and Ruth Rapoport, of blessed memory, knew how to combine their successful business ventures with a love for culture and art, along with a social commitment to promoting culture, science, health, and education for the future of human society.
The Baruch and Ruth Rapoport Foundation serves as the main arm for philanthropic activities according to the vision of Baruch and Ruth. For over 30 years, the couple donated tens of millions of dollars to the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, which was named in their honor. Throughout the years, the Rapoport couple worked tirelessly to advance the philanthropic infrastructure in Israel and were involved in a wide range of social projects.
The Rapoport Center for Culture and Art was established by the Baruch and Ruth Rapoport Foundation in collaboration with the Haifa for Israel Foundation in 2000. It includes the Haifa Auditorium, the Rapoport Hall, and the Cinematheque, where various events take place, including the annual Haifa Film Festival, concerts, and more. The Haifa for Israel Foundation has been supporting this project for many years.
